this summer has been long and strong, literally!!!!
particularly in delhi, its been scorching, starting from mid of march and continuing as am writing....
Now, i am not fond of summers at all...But.....summers has got its redeming points too
the most favourite thing about summers for me is that I get to have cool refreshing drinks and this summer, im having more than my fair share :))
Here are my most favourite drinks
1. Mojito - there nothing as refreshing as having a mojito after a hard summer's day of work, and it comes in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties, both equally refreshing!!!..(though i prefer one with bacardi vodka in it)
2. Sex on the Beach - I like its citrusy cum alcoholic tinge ad its great to have on a night out with friends in a pub. It doesnt make you woozy even after downing a couple of drinks (which as per my standards is 4).
3. Screwdriver - I love this classic drink, its damn easy to make even at home..
5. Pina Colada - I discovered this drink on my beach holiday in Bali and since then i have become a fan!!..its sweet , frothy and fun drink, just perfect to have sitting by the beach on a summer's day..
6. Fruit punches - i just so dig fruit punches, they can be had anytime and as much as u want....i have my fills as much as possible, besides they are healthy!!...i love all flavours of fruit punches, but especially love strawberry and passion fruit ones!!
7. Iced Tea - Love this simple yet cool drink, can have it anytime!!!
8. Wine - Now its not strictly a summers drink, but thanks to my brother (whos an army man), me and hubby have discovered it as a great summer refresher. Its refreshing to sip on wine (both white & red) after a tiring work day!!...

@austere - indeed there is...chaas, but due to a medical complication, im not allowed to have yogurt bases products on regular basis, including chaas!!
I am drinking iced-tea and fruit punches. I am not a big fan of alcohol but a Cosmopolitian is my fave cocktail and also Sex on the Beach!
Oh i hate summers too , for some weird reason it was not that bad here in Bangalore , its been puring like crazy and its so cold from the past couple of days
My fav is Mojito and mint lemonade..I love mint in any form during summer...

I thought the same as Austy...haha..Sush,that's quite a varied variety of summer coolers..I prefer buttermilk(labaan,as it's called in Dxb) or juices.:)
